Christmas Wishes, Greetings, Happy New Year, Eh!

This time of year is a special time for many folks for family and friends. For some, who are isolated, it can bring about memories and sadness. In other parts of the world it is meaningless. Others find it too commercialized and detracts from their interpretation of what it really means to them.

A special prayer goes out to those who are homeless, isolated, in poor health and those lacking in abundance of any kind.

Whichever way you chose to celebrate, or not, as the case may be, I wish to send you a positive message, a warm greeting, love even if and especially if you are not surrounded by family or friends. A wish for peace, love, joy and happiness, not just for this time of year. Let the spirit carry us though out the year and years.

I received a message in one of the groups I am in. They are doing a meditation, which I won’t post here, for World Peace, Abundance and Freedom.

All good things to aspire for and hope for in the world. I am not into some of the wording and such so I won’t post that. What I will post is a bit of what I would suggest you do if you so choose.

The suggested starting time is Dec. 24th at 9 AM or if you cannot do this start at 9 PM Dec. 23rd in whichever time zone you are in. In simple terms, just think of Peace, Abundance and Freedom for everyone, put your thoughts and attention on that. Thoughts are energy and we are energy as is everything else. It is said to raise our vibrational energy and affect consciousness. It is not voodoo or magic. It just is.

Do this until 9 PM Dec. 25th at anytime you choose to be part of the “wave” effect. Now you can do this all year round if you wish.

Important: Include your own spirituality into it, God, Buddha, Jesus, Allah, Universal Energy, whatever is meaningful to you. I believe that it must feel right to you and not be someone else’s beliefs. That applies to anything in life. Respect, honor the differences in everyone and follow your own truth.

Mediation and prayer has been demonstrated to affect things positively. Mass meditations have shown to reduce crime in certain areas so anything we can do in this regard is positive, in my opinion.

In a previous post I mentioned another planned meditation that you may wish to consider.

I will post a few messages for this time of year in several languages. Again, this is just in the spirit of this time of year. Also these are greetings written in these languages and not to mean all celebrate this event. I am not an expert in languages so please forgive any mistakes.

Well easy ways has found out about this challenge being tossed around like brain waves unleashed. So maybe you want to get those brain cells clicking into a higher zone.

If so just click this link below if you are interested:

Develop the habit of meditation in 2008!

This is a global challenge to help 100,000 to become habitual in the meditation world! Some have challenges with meditation so perhaps this can help you along the path of least resistance. Compliments of Lisa Hepner.

So if you are new to meditation or want to freshen up you skills in that arena, give it a whirl. Some do have challenges getting the mind to quieten down. That is the left brain working “on” you. Relax and let the right brain in and access another world of love, beauty and peace.

Hey, as far as habits go, this one is a good thing!

In love and peace,

Why Are You Here? What Is Your Purpose?

  • Are you more left-brained, right-brained or somewhere in between?
  • Do you know why you are here, what is your purpose?
  • Do you care?
  • Have you discovered the meaning of life?
  • Is there one. No Q mark? Is that a question or a statement?
  • If so what is it? What is what?  The meaning of life, of course!
  • I think many of us want to know and are seeking. So if you know, please share it.

Well, I have no idea, do you? Well perhaps that is not quite on the mark. I do have a few suspicions, inklings and such!

  • Those are just a few things to think about and if you have the answer, let me know. It will be different for different folks I reckon. Ok, don’t go getting dyspeptic on me now. Ha, got that one from the Free Rice part of the Helping Others section. Lots of interesting things over there. Boogie on over when you got a chance and set and click a spell.

I do have other things to present here but I am preoccupied with a few things at the moment.

  • Here is a bit from Sri Chinmoy. Which Sri Chinmoy I am not sure. I attended some mediations in Winnipeg some years ago in one of his meditation “houses”. May not be the same person. The one I knew of had New York connections and used his mind to create much and was quite powerful. There was a “wow” factor to what he could do using his mind.

Here is one of his quotes:

  • “Your mind is full of questions.
Only one Master can answer them.
    Who is this Master?
Your heart in love with silence.”

Sri Chinmoy

This also is an interesting quote:

  • “Thought is a language that has no sound,
while words are the symbols of a language.
When language and thinking are excessive,
they become a hindrance to wisdom.”

Zen

  • Of course language is left-brain oriented and that is one form of intelligence. Symbols and such, perhaps the way to explore higher consciousness is accessing the right-brain.
  • Just a few things to think about, or not. Perhaps the “or not” is more like it and it means more intuitively.

Cheers,

A Good Day, Inspired and Gratitude Visually Exposed

Inspiration can come in many forms and as beauty is, it is in the eye or heart of the beholder. I wanted to present some videos on a separate page yet there is a challenge with imbedding them. I can do it but adding to or making changes creates the challenges as the page then does weird things and the videos do not show properly. So for now I will do them in post fashion.

I came across this video on gratitude, appreciation and can be a form of meditation for some.

It is entitled:

A Good Day- Brother David Steindl-Rast

I do hope you enjoy this moment of inspiration.
