For only $19.95 per year you can get unlimited calling USA and Canada using magicJack(TM).  It is portable so you can take it with you and call from overseas also.  You just plug it into your computer and it sets you up with a phone number and then you can make your free calls.

I have heard of some reports of people buying more than one and shipping it overseas so the people over there can call back to North America for free.

I have not used this myself however I know someone who has and who recommends it.  It is very good for making long distance calls for free.
