The latest news on Debby, age 41, is that she is dying, slowly. This is sad news but I suppose for a polar bear this being held in captivity at the Assiniboine Zoo in Winnipeg, Mb. this could be considered to be a long life.

They say she is the oldest living polar bear in the world.

She is being fed things she loves such as veggie dogs and smoked goldeye in hopes of adding back some of the weight she is losing.

Having visited there many times I recall the polar bear exhibit to be one of the most popular sites at the zoo. I can attest to that. They will eventually upgrade the site but not until Debby passes on.

It is not difficult to do. Once you get the hang of this, it is an “easy ways”.   You could use free hosting and that is an option to start with.  For sure you will want to move up to having your own domain eventually.  It is important whether you have a blog or website. It gives you many options that free hosting does not. I have used both and I highly recommend paying for the service.  It is not really that expensive.  You will want to register a site and then get it hosted.  You can even register the site through your host.

I highly recommend the paid hosting service. You can get good website hosting from hosts such as Blue Host for as little as $6.95 a month by prepaying.  Once you are with a good host you will likely stick with them.  I will not relate the horror stories for not starting with a good host.  I prefer to accentuate the positive and project the fact that hosting is important and which one you choose.

This is an easy ways to host a website to do whatever you wish on the net.

I was a bit concerned that the posts would be lost or go somewhere off into cyberspace. I was told that they should still be there.

So just working on a way to do all of this plus build the website. From the info I have received so far it seems like it will be easy. Hold that thought!

So I will be working on that over the next few days or more.  It all depends upon how it goes as to how long it will take.  Plus the website I am working on is another work in progress.

Everything starts with a thought.  So onwards and upwards!

When I set this site up I had some ideas of the direction it was to take and I debated whether or not to have it as a blog or a website with a blog added on. Now I am thinking that the choice may not have been so well thought out. I have tended to present things of a different nature than what was stated:

“Providing Simple, Easy, Effective Ways to help yourself and others succeed and get more out of life.”

Still this is perhaps not too far off the mark of what I want to do. I am trying to decide if I should go back to a website and do the blog added on concept. I am also wondering it the posts can be archived somehow and remain on the site as they have been webalized. My terminology for having been unleashed into cyberspace to remain there forever, give or take a day or twos.

The Helping Others is important. Still it is not generating the activity I had envisioned when I posted this on the site:

I am currently working on setting up some websites/pages of an informative nature. I will likely start with a simple concept and perhaps expand the pages or not. It depends on a few things. Like building free traffic and using promo items that work.

So I will be back and let you know how this is progressing.

This comes in a time when the world is looking towards the US to see if true change is possible. For sure this holds much promise.

Can Obama deliver? Will he be given the chance? It is an enormous challenge and undertaking.

The Yes We Can message is clear and expectations are high for change. For me, the John Lennon piece “Let’s Give Peace A Chance” always seems to come to mind.

It is easy to be jaded after years of promises of politicians that never come to fruition. Still, even in the darkest hour there is hope. The answer to those who say change is not possible or you cannot do that is “Yes We Can!”

So here we go. We shall see what the future holds.

Bio-Diesel Sucks. Yes it does. Well certain versions definitely fit that bill and have been supported by politicians who clearly had part of the equation right but made some serious miscalculations in their haste to find an alternative solution to fossil fuels.

Now the price of wheat and corn are soaring. Not only that but a lower quality, high starch variety is being produced in corn and wheat to make this into a biodiesel fuel source. Even using that product for people is not great since they have reduced the protein.

The major mistake is using food sources such as wheat and corn to produce this alternative source of fuel. Of course there is another way. One such way involves the usage of algae to produce this alternative fuel source. On a recent tv program one of the scientists said the yield per acre is some 180 times more using algae compared to what they can produce using wheat or corn.

Time to start diverting some of the buckets of money they are and have fueled into producing biodiesel from wheat and corn and do the research needed to get the system switched over to alternatives such as algae.

So come on out of the closet and help save the planet.Of course this is not the only way to help, still it is a start.

It may not seem like much but it does add up to an energy savings and it shows how everyone can take a step towards this goal.
