That is an interesting concept whether blogging, websites, is worth it.  If you are in it for the money, then likely it is not worth it. Adding adsense and similar advertising programs to a website or blog does very little to add to the bottom line.

Many have tried and have gotten the Google-Slap, whatever that is, as Google keeps changing things up and it seems impossible to keep up with them.  But really that should not matter. In reality just blog or develop a site about what interests you.

There are many sites out there designed to profit from advertising such as Google and Yahoo. Basically Google wants you to buy advertising from them so they discourage other means of making money on them.  Sure you can say it is self-interest but that is what most companies do and it is how they exist.

Well I don’t really have the time or want to take the time to try to keep up with such stuff, really.  Part of the corporate world and the games that go on in it. This is not meant to bash them.  It is difficult for most people to start out because of the nature of the beast, you can be put out of business almost before you start without warning.

Plus many of the so called experts out there are out to sell you something that may have worked in the past not now or may not work at all.  This includes many gurus, internet marketing, SEO and the like. Of course not all are bogus and there are some really helpful.  The challenge is to find the legitimate ones and apply the techniques and stick with them long enough to find out if they really do work.

If I had to choose between blogs, this one and the Creative Waves one, then it would be that one rather than this one.  Actually, they are really quite different in focus and purpose. Creative Waves has a bit more soul.  By that I mean it has some spiritual aspect, an appreciation for life, the abundant beauty that surrounds us and hopefully some inspiration that may appeal to those who wish to be inspired. It really has nothing to do with getting rich in a monetary sense although that is possible also.

Of course this site does provide some easy and free ways to potentially enhance or enrich you in other ways for little or no cost.  Sometimes you do need to spend a few bucks to make some.  At least that is what I have found along the way.

I have many interests so that detracts somewhat from the objective of concentrating on a single niche which many of the sites are set up to earn income from.  Another interest I have is in the Stock Market.  The image below is how we all would like the market to perform for us. Ah day dreamers we are or is that day traders or day trader wannabees! Wannabeesness?

That link is to a designed to take you to a site to buy the book or e-book and it is a clickbank product. Now I do not have any direct knowledge of that product so I cannot provide personal experience with it. It does show ClickBank as an example of another way to generate income on the net.  You are really selling someone else’s products and receive a commission for doing so. Another example of this is:

Now one of the tricks suggested by the gurus would be to do a blog on stock market trading, for example, and present yourself as an expert on the stock market and sell products based upon that.  Well, I am not really into that sort of thing although I have played both blue chip and penny stocks over the years. Playing the markets is a gamble and finding anything of real value is many times coming down to perception of value and that perception can change in a nano-second.

There are also other courses that you can take at local colleges, universities and from various investment agencies. In Canada one such course is the Canadian Securities Course. This can be taken by correspondence and must be completed over a certain length of time with deadlines and assignments to be sent in. In the USA there is North American Securities Dealers. I am not sure if that is a direct comparison but do a search on FINRA and check it out.

You must also provide disclaimers if you do discuss stocks since there are regulations that have to be abided by. Make sure you are not giving “advice” which is a no no.  The regulators would rather you lose money taking advice from an expert. Well hey that surely is a distinct possibility.  Yes, I have known a few of those “experts” over the years.

I only wanted to touch on that subject today as it is very broad based and not for the faint of heart. If you can find a stock market specialist who can make you money, it may be best to stay with that person especially if you would lose sleep over losing money in the markets.  That does happen and quite often in fact.

So I think that is a wrap for today as I wandered off topic quite a bit.  Still it is all about making money on the net, or off the net, online or offline.  So I guess it really is not off the topic at all.  I was going to update some program information but will save that for another time.

Blogging Is It Worth It, Money and Success, Advertising, Google and Adsense is a post from: Easy Ways To Do Things Blog!

Just a quick update on a few things.  Check out the Creative Waves blog about the Blackberry attack, a true story about what happened to me recently. Yes there was blood drawn.  Nasty nasty stuff. But I survived the brutal barbarian blackberry attack.   Did you know that blackberries can be dangerous to your health?   I know for a fact that they can be.

Oui, c’est vrai, my little petite poutine. That is meatless poutine as it should be. Nothing to do with this story but hey, it be fine cuisine, the lovely, delicious poutine!

SQIP and Me2Everyone both have upgrades in the works at the present time. It seems to be affecting SQIP a bit more because they are unable to take payments into the FTS system until the new software is on hand and working.  This is just a temporary delay.  I hope that is resolved quickly.

Nothing new on Affordable Affiliates.  I do hope they get the program done and working out how we have done with the sales of goods.   That program should be fine in time.  They have an extensive inventory on the BC mainland here in Canada.

I rolled over my Ad-Ventures4U this week.  I figured I wanted a bit more working for me in there.  That is continuing to move along well. The recent site upgrade has it working really fast now. Admin is extremely communicative and responsive to the members.

PyraBang is also continuing to perform, it is a bit more challenging for many to understand and was set up as a free press type of thing to bypass the commercial media outlets who many consider as being biased in what and how they present the news. Anyway there are some in our group who are continuing to promote and drive it along.

Qassia is now Qondio. This is more for website owners.  In theory to garner more exposure for your sites gaining backlinks to your website.

Well that is just about enough of this for tonight here in this great land, Victoria BC.  Getting ready for a visit from my son who now resides in Kelowna, another nice place in the Okanagan, BC.

Yes, Canada is 142 years young today and I wish all the Canucks out there a Happy Canada Day.

There is more of a write up about this on the CreativeWaves blog so hop on over there to see more of the celebration! Mostly about the music and about some of the Canadian talent that we have.  I tend to post most of my photos over there as well.

I have not decided what I will be doing today, for sure there is lots going on.
